Plant Your Feet on the Ground and Hands in the Earth!

Earthing is not a new concept and we may see multiple products advertised, such as earthing mats, pads, mattresses and even shoes. These may be easily accessible for most, but nothing beats free mother earth to ground us.

The science behind this is based on the energy we receive from the earth’s natural electric charge. This natural electric current can stabilise our own natural electric current that supports the functioning of our organs on a cellular level. These practices of walking barefoot and connecting with the earth have shown to improve our health by;

  • Reduce inflammation/strengthen immune health

  • Calming the nervous system (lowers stress)

  • Reduce pain

  • Improves blood circulation

  • Increases energy

  • Supports sleep

Earthing can help manage chronic health diseases or help prevent the onset of various health conditions. This practice once use to be apart of our lifestyle, has been lost through time and with it the therapeutic benefits we received. We have disconnected from the earth through the living in concrete jungles/high rise apartments, synthetic sole shoes (rather than natural material, e.g. leather), sleep off the ground and no BAREFOOT walking.

We can become deficient in these much needed negative ions (charge) produced from the earth. Without earthing, a build up of static/positive charge can cause electron imbalances to your heart, blood/lymphatic circulation and nervous system.
